AKVA group chooses Global Aqua as their main meeting arena in 2027

AKVA group has chosen Global Aqua as their main arena for meeting customers, partners and authorities in 2027. They will use Global Aqua as a platform to showcase key technologies and participate in discussions shaping the future of aquaculture.
For Global Aqua, this decision represents a strong signal from a company that has played a central role in the development of modern aquaculture for decades.

A changing industry requires new meeting places

Aquaculture is evolving rapidly. Technology is advancing, sustainability requirements are increasing, and political decisions are having a growing influence on how the industry develops.
According to AKVA group’s Chief Commercial Officer, Ståle Økland, these developments are also changing the role of industry meeting places.

“The industry is growing, and meeting places are evolving accordingly. We see a need to be present where we can best meet customers, partners and decision-makers.”

Global Aqua was created with this ambition: to bring together the entire aquaculture ecosystem in one international arena where business, technology, policy, research and investment can meet.

Showcasing technologies that will shape the future

At Global Aqua 2027, AKVA group plan to highlight several technologies that are expected to play an important role in the industry’s future development, including deep farming solutions, post-smolt technology, digital systems and sustainability initiatives.

These are areas that reflect some of the most important challenges facing aquaculture today:

  • Increasing production while improving sustainability
  • Enhancing fish welfare and operational efficiency
  • Accelerating technology adoption
  • Building a stronger and more resilient food system

By bringing together companies working to address these challenges, Global Aqua aims to create an arena that is relevant not only for suppliers and producers, but also for investors, policymakers, researchers and other stakeholders influencing the future of the industry.

Building a global arena for aquaculture

AKVA group highlights international accessibility, proximity to decision-making environments and the opportunity to engage with a broad range of stakeholders as important reasons for choosing Global Aqua.
These are also key elements of the Global Aqua concept.

Taking place at NOVA Spektrum in the Oslo region, Global Aqua combines a large-scale international exhibition with a conference programme focused on the issues that will shape the next generation of aquaculture. The ambition is to create a meeting place where commercial opportunities, industry insights and strategic discussions come together in one arena.

As more leading companies commit to the event, Global Aqua continues to develop as a global platform for collaboration, innovation and industry development.
