The Institute of Marine Research (IMR) has joined Global Aqua’s partner programme as a Global Science Partner, the highest level of partnership.
Global Aqua aims to be a global meeting place and a cross-sector platform where investors, industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, and decision-makers come together to discuss growth, investment, innovation, and future opportunities across the entire aquaculture sector.
The Institute of Marine Research (IMR) has now become a Global Science Partner of Global Aqua. The partnership involves close collaboration, with IMR playing an active role in the development of the event and platform, both as a provider of scientific expertise and as a strategic partner.
Director of Ocean Research at IMR, Nils Gunnar Kvamstø, welcomes the collaboration and highlights Global Aqua’s ambition to bring together perspectives from across the sector.
“Representatives from industry, research, public administration, and decision-making bodies must stand on the same stage, both literally and figuratively. Only then can we find the solutions needed to achieve sustainable growth in aquaculture. In that respect, Global Aqua is a forward-looking arena for knowledge sharing and dialogue,” says Kvamstø.
We see the Institute of Marine Research as a perfect partner for Global Aqua: highly respected, knowledge-driven, and forward-looking. Global Science Partner is the highest and most comprehensive level within Global Aqua’s partner programme and is reserved for a very limited number of strategic partners. IMR brings exceptional expertise and credibility to the platform, and we are delighted to enter into this partnership,” says Onarheim.
